Community Giving Requests

CUMIS will consider providing funding to charity requests that meet the following criteria:

• It must be a registered Canadian charity
• The charity’s mandate must align with the one of our Community Giving Program's areas of focus:
  
  • Co-operative and credit union system education and events
  • Health and well-being
  • Environment and conservation

Requests will not be considered from:

• Charities that have already received a donation from CUMIS in the same calendar year
• Discriminatory organizations
• Individuals
• Organizations of a political nature
• Organizations that represent a conflict of interest to CUMIS
• Organizations that restrict their services to members of a religious or ethnic group
• Programs or events beyond the service area of CUMIS (some historical exceptions apply)
