The CUMIS Group Limited
The CUMIS Group Limited (CUMIS) partners with credit unions to deliver competitive insurance and financial solutions. In doing so, it creates financial security and promotes the growth and success of the credit union system in Canada. Its principal companies are CUMIS Life Insurance Company and CUMIS General Insurance Company. CUMIS also has a 50 per cent interest in CUIS Brokerage Services Limited and Credential Financial Inc. CUMIS has management responsibility for its joint marketing program with The Co-operators, which offers an integrated portfolio of both organizations’ insurance products and related services to credit unions under the banner of ‘CUMIS Insurance in partnership with The Co-operators’.

CUMIS Life Insurance Company
Incorporated in January 1977, CUMIS Life offers a full range of group credit, life and disability insurance and pension products to financial co-operatives and their members. CUMIS Life continues the tradition set by the CUNA Mutual Insurance Society, which was established in 1935 and wrote the first Canadian loan protection contract in 1937.

CUMIS General Insurance Company
Incorporated in July 1980, CUMIS General offers a leading-edge portfolio of property and casualty insurance products to financial co-operatives and their members. CUMIS General assumed all of the insurance business that had been provided by CUMIS Insurance Society, Inc. since 1966.

Credential Financial Inc.
Credential Financial Inc. is the national wealth management provider founded by the Canadian credit union system. It offers credit unions an integrated range of products and services, and provides a full complement of back-office administration and in-branch support. The CUMIS Group Limited purchased a 50 per cent interest in January 2004.

CUIS Brokerage Services Limited
CUIS Brokerage Services Limited helps credit unions successfully administer their P&C insurance brokerages. Jointly owned by CUMIS and The Co-operators, it works in partnership with credit unions to develop strategies, acquire property and casualty insurance brokerages and manage operations. CUIS Brokerage Services Limited has several insurance agency partnerships in place with credit unions in British Columbia.
