No sudden or significant rate increases for average CUMIS Insurance Home and Auto policyholders
July 17, 2009 – Burlington, ON – The CUMIS Insurance Home and Auto Program was not a party to the most recent request for significant increases to auto insurance rates in Ontario, and is not planning to introduce any sudden or significant rate increases to average policyholders.
In order to ensure ongoing rate competitiveness for our policyholders, the CUMIS Insurance Home and Auto Program regularly reviews its rates. Since 2007, the program has maintained a consistent schedule of incremental, balanced rate increases. This was done as a proactive measure to minimize the impact to policyholders of any sudden industry market corrections.
The CUMIS Insurance Home and Auto Insurance Program also offers substantial discounts for good drivers and responsible homeowners, including a discount for those who have both home and auto insurance products with the program.
