CUMIS receives 2007 Mayor’s Business Community Service Award

May 12, 2008 - The CUMIS Group Limited (CUMIS) was recently honoured with the 2007 Burlington Mayor’s Business Community Service Award.

The award recognizes CUMIS’ outstanding contributions to local community programs, solid community partnerships, energized employee work environment and excellence in business leadership. Kenn Lalonde, President & CEO accepted the award on behalf of CUMIS from Burlington Mayor Cam Jackson at the Burlington Chamber of Commerce Business Awards Gala on May 8.

“CUMIS is honoured to be granted this distinction,” said Kenn. “We’re further honoured to be associated with Habitat for Humanity, which nominated us for this award, and we express our sincerest gratitude for their tireless work to improve our community. I would also like to thank CUMIS employees. I couldn’t be more proud to serve and work with a group of people who continuously demonstrate their commitment to this community.

Our greatest appreciation is extended to Mayor Jackson and the people of this city for allowing us to call Burlington home for the past 42 years.”
